LAKE POWELL 2012 with the Karren Family
Lots of pics!
We celebrated Gilbey's 6th birthday while on the boat.
Anneke was a bit jealous!
Happy Birthday Gilbey!
Thank you for the fun bucket! The kids had a great time sharing it.
Grandma and Grandpa got him a fun cowboy hat.
Gilbey caught a big carp!
Look closely and you can see that even on a boat in the middle of nowhere, Anneke has a knack for finding pens and writing all over herself!
The cool cave across the canyon from us.
Hairdo night

Onni's first pigtails!
Not sure if she likes them
Cruising through the living room.
Gilbey caught a catfish, too!
Hmmm... should I go blast someone with these water tubes?

Cousins working together to make a cool waterway in the sand.
And the grownups relaxing while the kids entertain themselves.

Dillon doesn't appear in too many pictures on this trip. Part of it is that he is at that age that he doesn't like his picture taken. Part of it is that he read the Son of Neptune, Harry Potter book 7, Sword Quest, Racing in the Rain, and another book that he swiped from his Aunt Laura while we were on the boat. He is my son! He had a good time swimming and playing in the sand too, but give him a good book and we don't see him for hours.
We had a blast. We went fishing, boating, tubing, watersliding, roasted marshmallows over the fire, shared delicious meals with family, and shared an upper deck with 26 people while sleeping. We survived the random windstorms overnight and learned to block out the snoring from the uncles and Daddy. We had lots of laughs, good conversation, and lots of shared fun.
Thank you Steve, Johnnie, David, Shauna, Konner, Salem, Daisy, Laura, Sophie, Heidi, Andy, Rachel, Jason, Cole, Aidan, Sadie, Sam, Emily, Doug, Maggie, Scott, Lena, and Max for making our vacation to Lake Powell the best one yet! And Jeff, Dirk, and Chris- you were there in our thoughts and hearts!
Thanks for being part of our family!

I was wondering where Dillon was! Eric accused me of imparting my reading habits on Anya this past weekend after she browbeat me into roughly 5 hours of weekend reading to kill HP Book 3. I understand Dillon's pain! :-)
