I started work a couple weeks ago. I had a great transition back in. I was scheduled for 1 day the first week and then the next day I was scheduled, it snowed so much the outlets closed! And they NEVER close. We got a lot of snow- well over a foot- and the roads took awhile to get cleared. We were pretty lucky that our neighbor, Wayne, had access to a bobcat and cleared our driveway pretty early in the day. We just had to go out a couple times and clean it up a bit.
Dillon has started taking karate classes 2-3 days a week, instead of the 1 day he's been doing. He is really enjoying it and learning a lot of skills that I hope will help him get through life. The dojo he goes to is fantastic. They work a lot on skills and don't focus on how quickly you can get new belts.
Gilbey is doing very well with his swimming lessons. His teacher this year has really pulled him out of his shell. He is able to swim for a few feet without any assistance now! He is very proud of himself and I see him gaining lots of new skills before the summer.
Dillon and Gilbey are both working on their Pine Wood Derby cars. Dillon is a Wolf Cub this year and really likes all the activities. Jason is enjoying having the one on one time with Dillon. Siblings are allowed to do the Derby, so the 3 of them have been working together to get 2 cars ready. The Derby is next week, so it should be a busy weekend with the boys finishing up the cars so they are ready in time.
Anneke is growing like a weed. She was 22.25 inches and 13 pounds 8 ounces at her 10 week check up. She is quickly gaining on her cousin, Lena, who at 10 months is just over 15 pounds. This month has been the one where Anneke has really become social. She loves to smile when she hears mommy's and daddy's voices. She smiles if you sing to her. She also love to "talk" after you've asked her a question. She is a pretty easy going baby and we all love having her.
Now for the pictures you all want! Since I am working on my new laptop, I only have pictures from the past week. But they are pretty cute, if I say so myself. These are the best pics we have on Anneke smiling, as before now, it's been pretty hard to catch her on camera.
Are we there yet?

Love these pictures!!! Anneke is so cute. Wow, she really is growing quickly! Can't wait to see her in person. So glad the boys are having fun with scouts, karate and swimming. Hope they keep at it.
ReplyDeleteSuper baby is a keeper. I see that resurfacing at a wedding rehearsal dinner...
