Total Randomness

Movers are coming on Monday. I'll send out address and phone next week.

I was singing Jesus Loves Me with Gilbey and he joined in with Batman smells, batman smells, batman smells.... Yes, we teach our kids good and wholesome songs, lol!

Gilbey doesn't like bugs, so if he sees an ant he says, "Me stomp it!!" The other day we were walking into Jason's office and there was a bird hopping along in front of us. Gilbey says to me, "Me stomp it!" I told him that we don't stomp on birds, and he tells me, "Bird scares me. Me no stomp birds."

I don't like snakes. When we opened the garage at the new house, there was a little garden snake sitting in the middle of it. I yelled for Jason and he tried to shoo it away with a stick. The snake shot at, itty, bitty teeth showing, at the stick. Jason finally got it shooed away towards the neighbors house. Last night, after going to the house, Jason says to me, "I shouldn't tell you that the snake was back in the garage, huh?" I really hope the snake moves on and doesn't have a nest in my garage!!!

Dillon has Kindergarten graduation at 10 am on Friday at St. Edward's Church hall. Anyone who wants to come see him "graduate" is more than welcome. I will take some video and post it when we get the chance, along with video from his spring music concert and pics from his birthday.

Note to self- if you are unsure of all the layers of flooring under the current layer, do not rip up the top layer in a conspicuous spot. If you do, then you HAVE to replace the flooring instead of living with the perfectly OK top layer and just filling in the holes under the stove. But- we will have beautiful Brazilian cherry laminate flooring after Jason installs it this weekend. Please pray for him to have patience and precision in this venture.

  1. Ew. Snakes.

I'm not very up on prayer allowances, but my take is that praying for patience might be reasonable, but "precision" might be entirely in the human realm! :-) Good luck with that.

  2. Good luck with the move and flooring. They're both pretty big undertakings.

  3. I never want to install a floor again. When do we rip out the large overgrown things in front.
