This is the first time I've blogged. I thought it was about time, seeing as everyone else I know has one. Gotta hang with the cool kids, you know!
I thought this would be a good time to start, since we turned in our application for prequalification for a mortgage this afternoon. We are on our way to becoming homeowners! This is something I didn't think would happen for at least another 5 years. But with the crashing economy, home prices in our area are finally within our reach. Jason's job is pretty secure, my job is pretty secure, and we're just going to do it.
Dillon is excited about getting a house. He can't wait to get a dog. The breed changes daily, but he can't wait to have a yard so we can get one. We've been telling him for a couple years now that we have to buy a house before he gets a dog, so needless to say, he can't wait until we find something.
Gilbey would love a cat. He even tells us he'd rather have a cat than a baby brother or sister. Again, we told them no cats until we own a house. I just can't deal with a furry animal in an apartment.
So, join us on our exciting journey to becoming homeowners. I'm sure there will be ups and downs, but in the end, we'll have a hunk of wood and land that is all ours.
I can't wait!
