It's at the higher end of our price range and needs some work. Vandals got in after it was listed and ripped out some cabinets and wrote all over the walls. The downstairs bathroom is missing the toilet and sink. Upstairs, there is a hole in one wall and who knows what they were thinking with the paint job in another room.

Back bedroom wallI have an appointment with John on Tuesday to look at more houses. I gave him a list off the local living site of houses I'm interested in seeing, with certain ones higher priorities. Jason made a short list last night of some more houses that he's interested in. I'll post more pics after tomorrow.
Is that the house nextdoor to mom and dad's? It's actually pretty awesome, minus the vandalism! Much like mom and dad's, I love the baseboards and trim, and I even like the colors downstairs if they weren't, er, altered. The floors look super nice. Anyway, good luck with all this. It's fun to decide all the things you 'Must have', then feel yourself back off of all of them! :-)
ReplyDeleteLike Melissa, I think that it is the house nextdoor to your parents house. Is it? Paint will cover up all the bad parts and know that you don't have to do everything right away. You'll be exhausted if you do try.

You guys are right! It is the house next to Mom's. If the vandalism hadn't occurred and the downstairs bath at least had the toilet and sink in it, I think we would have jumped on it. Off to look tomorrow and see what else is available.
